The 13th Compound Exhibition transformed the streets and industrial spaces of Dharavi into an art show, showcasing the works of Artefacting Mumbai to the local community and attracting an estimated 500 outsiders into Dharavi. Art and local life were meshed into an experience that challenged the perspectives of many. People stepped into warehouses filled with scrap for short video projections. Local children sat there for hours watching themselves on the big screen.
