New York based artist Alex White Mazzarella and Dutch photographer Arne de Knegt come to Oklahoma City’s Lobby Bar at the Will Rogers Theatre for a special event. They will be giving a presentation of their provocative & social Artefacting work, which has gotten attention from the NY Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Examiner and numerous other (inter-)national publications.
Some of the best of their provocative artwork & photography will be on exhibition and for sale to raise funds for the continuation of Artefacting’s innovative programs of catalyzing social change in disadvantaged communities. The works were created on site in catalyzing HOPE in Detroit’s stagnating East Side, supporting the people of Asia’s largest slum in India and an art installation made with the homeless of Rome Italy. The artists will take viewers inside these projects by fully explaining the challenges of each place and significance of their artwork. They are currently working with auto-workers in Willets Point “Iron Triangle” in Queens New York.
This is a special two-day event. Catch their work before it travels on to the Queens Museum of Art in New York City.
